Organic barley has a rich, nut like flavour and chewy consistency. It is a good source of fibre, niacin B3, magnesium, and zinc. Organic barley can be used in soups, stews, salads, side dishes, desserts and more.
To cook, bring 1/2 cup barley and 2 litres water o a boil. Once it boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes or so till the barley expands and softens. Top up with more water if necessary. Add sugar or honey to taste.
